Aug 18-19 – Reunion Dinners

I separated these pictures because they won’t be of interest to most of my readers, but wanted to point out a couple of the pictures. The reunion committee planned two dinners, the one on Fri was less formal and included some acknowledgements of the committee. The one on Sat was more solemn and formal.

Pics 1 & 2 are the three ladies who are the force behind the reunion. The lady on the right is Sheila, referenced also below.

Pics 20-24 are the ones I want friends and relatives to see. Dave was in  a platoon in B company, 2nd of the 8th, 4th infantry. A platoon is a group of 15-30 soldiers, in this case, the men Dave actually served with in VietNam, including Roger Dearmyer (left) and Richard Bolin (right). I knew they were going to be attending the reunion (Richard’s wife is Sheila, above mention), but I didn’t tell Dave they were going to be there. He was so surprised as he thought he wouldn’t see them until next years trip to the platoon reunion.

Icing on the cake was when Richard got the major award given at the reunion. We were sitting at an adjoining table so it was easy to get pictures.
