Golden Colorado is about 85 miles NW of where we are staying, and is west of Denver. The brewery tour was quite interesting. It had been many years since either of us had been on such a tour. 15 minutes from our home is Miller brewery and I went on that tour when it opened in 1980. Prior to that, it was in the 60s that we each had toured Anheiser-Bush’s “Bush Gardens” and brewery tour. At the end of the tour, one is able to have free tastings of 3 of their beers – and not the 2 ounce tasters, but 10 ounces each glass. Soda available for people like me who don’t like beer. Dave’s favorite of the 3 he tried was Killian’s Irish Red. BTW, you can click on a photo to see a bigger version.

Old Town Golden is a couple blocks from the brewery and we had lunch there at a great little deli, D’Deli. The Corned Smoked Buffalo was so good I asked how we could get some. Turns out the supplier, Edwards Meats, is right near the RR museum, so we later stopped to get some buffalo to take home with us.
The Colorado Railroad Museum is much larger than we could accomplish seeing in our scooters, but had paved sidewalks for a lot of it. I didn’t take as many pictures as I could have.
For dinner, we went back to Colorado Mountain Brewery and had pizza which, on Saturday we had noticed looked really good.
