(Witness) Census18301830 He is assumed to be one of the household of Samuel Underwood in the 1830 census, pg 184, no twnshp listed, Tyler Co., West Virginia, who has Underwood, Samuel Jr 2m0-5 (Daniel & John) 3m5-10 (Jonathan, Isaac & Solomon) 1f0-5 (Amy) - very faint, doesn't look like either parent has a tickmark but they should be 1m30-40 (Samuel) and 1f30-40 (Margaret). 
(InHomeOf) Census18501850 Jonathan Underwood appeared on the 1850 census in the household of Samuel Underwood, pg 331 #126-126, District 61, Tyler Co., West Virginia. His info on the census included - Underwood, Jonathan 26 b.VA farmer. 
Will*28 March 1862 Jonathan Underwood left a will on 28 March 1862 at Tyler Co., West Virginia; will bk 2 pg 202 heirs: wife Nancy & at her death or remarriage to "my children". Brother David executor, witnesses include brother Solomon. 
Death*10 January 1863 He died on 10 January 1863 at age 40.1 
Probate*July 1863 His estate was probated in July 1863.
