Checker Car Club of America

The official Checker Car Club of America web site has been sponsored by Hemmings and can be found at: http://clubs.hemmings.com/checkers/. A more current version can be found at:
http://checkercarclub.org

The best Checker site I have found is the Checker Taxi Stand which can be found at:
http://www.checkertaxistand.com/
There are some great links there, including one called Classified Ads where you can post an ad. Have fun exploring the other links as well. This is an excellent site that I highly recommend.

There is also a Checker mailing list:
http://mail.textfiles.com/mailman/listinfo/checker
Lots of knowledgeable people there!

California's person with the best Checker knowledge, like which cars are good for being in movies, and where to get what kind of parts:

California Checker Club

California Checker Club no longer charges separate dues. If you are a member of the national club, Checker Car Club of America, and the address you joined under is CA, AZ, or NV, you are automatically considered part of our chapter. We have an annual show the last Sunday of July at the Arboretum of Los Angeles, in Arcadia CA. If you need more info on that, let me know.

Checker Photos

I'm linking only a few of my many Checker photos, just the ones that are rare. One of the most rare is the Checker Jeep. I took these in 1992 at the Gilmore Classic Car Museum outside of Kalamazoo. Please: copyright reserved. If you want to use these pictures, please write and ask. However, you may link to this page without permission.

Ham Radio Activities

My husband David (KE6AYI) and I (KD6KFA) are members of the Pasadena Radio Club (PRC). Our primary annual activities include:
PRC's Field Day - Check the PRC site for a link to Field Day for further details. Also, in Photo Gallery, look for Field Day pictures.
The Angeles Crest 100 mile endurance run (AC100) where we do finish line communications.
The Baker2Vegas (B2V) relay race where we do communications at the Pahrump NV checkpoint for the Crescenta Valley and Temple City Sheriff teams

We also have regular involvement with Los Angeles County Disaster Communications (DCS), and Pasadena Arson Watch.
