Birth* Lydia Garrison was born at Indiana daughter Catherine's 1880 & 1900 census says she was born in Indiana. Her first name is from land record of 1823. 
Marriage*11 March 1819 She married Nicholas Groendyke, son of James Groendyke and Johannah Antonides, on 11 March 1819 date and her last name per notes of grandson Thomas Wamsley. 
(Witness) DeedOctober 1823  In October 1823 at Connersville, Fayette Co., Indiana,
Deed book E page 106 proves her name is Lydia. 
Census1840*1840 Lydia Garrison was the head of the household in the 1840 census, Decatur Co., Indiana, with page 409 there is a L. Groendyke, Look it up
Source*28 July 1846 Source(s): Proof of husband and fatherinlaw: SLC 469723 Probate Book B1 pg 379. James Gronendyke's Heirs, John Gronendyke Guardian. Lydia Gronendyke widow of Nicholas Gronendyke one of the sons of James Gronendyke comes and files her petition in her behalf to wit (here insert) which being heard it is ordered by the court that the Guardian of the Estate of said heirs of Nicholas Gronendike in consideration of the maintainance etc of the heirs of the said Nicholas by the said Lydia their mother do pay to her the amout of the rents of their real estate now in his hands and that from time to time as other rents accrue to them that he in like manner pay to the same the same to the said Lydia until the further order of this court. on 28 July 1846 at Fayette Co., Indiana.
