Marriage*31 January 1844 She married Samuel Wamsley, son of William G Wamsley and Nancy Bussell, on 31 January 1844 at Hamilton Co., Ohio, bk 12 pg 284. License 26th, marr 31st.1

(Witness) Biography1881 Catharine Groendyke was mentioned in the biography of William G Wamsley: William Maensley (sic) was born in Virginia in 1785, where he married Nancy Bussel. She died, leaving six children, in Miami, in 1822. He came to this State in 1815, but had lived for a time previously in Boone county, Kentucky. His first Ohio settlement was made at North Bend, on the farm now the property of Charles Short. In politics he was an Old Line whig. He died in Ripley, Indiana, in 1837. He had six children: James, at present in Texas; Moses B., now married to Eunice Hayes; John B.(sic, William B., married to Mary J. Ingraham; Eliza, the wife of David Jones, of Indiana; Samuel, married to Catharine Gronendike; and Stephen W., married to Mary Vangorder, and a resident of Indiana at the present time. in 1881.2

Residence1903  In 1903 Catharine Groendyke resided at Cleves - Miami Township, Hamilton Co., Ohio. Samuel had lots 32 & 33 in Cleves, Catherine still lived there in 1903 & rented part out per pension affidavit. She is blind at this time. 
Death*9 April 1910 She died on 9 April 1910 at Possibly, Hamilton Co, Ohio, at age 87 Her death date is from pension 'drop' record. Send for death record as film only goes to 1908.
