(MentionedIn) Will6 September 1814 He was mentioned in the will of Thomas Slater on 6 September 1814 at Greene Co., Pennsylvania; This is the last will and testament of me, Thomas Slater of Franklin Township, Greene County, in Pennsylvania made this 6th day of September 1814.
     
First -- My will and desire is that I be buried in a decent and Christian-like manner.
     Item -- It is my will that all my just debts be paid; and as concerning my estate my will is that my son Isaac shall have and hold to himself his heirs and assigns all the lower part of my plantation lying south of the town of Waynesburgh whereon I now reside containing sixty five acres more or less. And also all that part of my plantation lying north of the town of Waynesburgh and east of a line running in a straight direction with Washington Street till it strikes the patent line of my said plantation on the north, he the said Isaac paying into the hands of my Executors the sum of eight hundred dollars according to the conditions of a certain deed of Conveyance of said Land made by me to said Isaac which deed is dated in February 1811.
     Item -- It is my will that the house and lots now occupied by Allen Mann and any other real property of which I may die seised, other than herein mentioned and particularly disposed of be converted into money as soon as convenient after my decease by sale and conveyance by my Executors herein after named or the survivors of them, the price of which together with my personal estate and the eight hundred dollars to be paid by Isaac as above mentioned shall constitute a fund for the payment of the Legacies herein after described and bequeathed.
     Item -- I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah White the sum of two hundred dollars.
     Item -- I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Thomas Lakin son of my daughter Mary the sum of fifty dollars.
     Item -- I give and bequeath unto my Grand Children, the children of my daughter Mary one hundred and fifty dollars to be equally divided amongst them they being five in number besides Thomas Lakin who is to have no share of this last Legacy.
     Item -- I give and bequeath unto my daughter Jemimah the sum of eighty eight dollars she having received one hundred and twelve already.
     Item -- I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth the sum of two hundred dollars.
     Item -- I give and bequeath unto my daughter Eleanor the sum of two hundred dollars.
     Item -- I give and bequeath unto my former son-in-law John Hawn the sum of sixty-seven cents.
     Item -- It is my will that my son John shall have and I do hereby give and bequeath unto him the sum of two hundred dollars.
     Item -- It is my will that my sons Henry, Thomas, James, Isaac, and my Grandchildren the children of my son Snowden have Sixty-seven cents each in addition to what they have already received.
     Item -- It is my will that if anything remains after payment of the before mentioned Legacies there be paid one hundred dollars to each of my children Sarah, Eleanor, Jemimah, Elizabeth and John in addition to what is bequeathed to them already. And if anything then remains it is to be equally divided between my children Sarah, Eleanor, Jemimah, Elizabeth, and John and the children of my daughter Mary, which children of my said daughter Mary are to be considered as one person having one share which share is to be equally divided among them.
     Item -- It is my will that whatever may have been received by any of my Legatees above mentioned, from me since the month of February 1811 shall hereafter be received from me shall be considered and taken as part payment of the Legacies bequeathed to them.
     Item -- It is my will that the Legacies before bequeathed be paid as soon as convenient after my decease.
     Lastly I do hereby make constitute and appoint Andrew Buchanan and William Crawford fo the town of Waynesburgh Executors of this my Last will and testament. In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Slater the testator, have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal the day and year first herein written.

     The writing contained in this sheet of paper was signed and Sealed by the above named Thomas Slater, and by him published and declared as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereunto in his presence and in the presence of each other. The first bequest to Jemimah altered from two hundred dollars to eighty eight dollars before signing.
