(Grantor) Deed31 March 1845 He sold land on 31 March 1845 at Tyler Co., West Virginia: Caveat on this records - OS-10-46 (& 47) John Lewis and Catharine his wife, Eli Ferrell and Rachel his wife, John Weekley and Jane his wife, heirs of Jacob Lewis deceased sold to Jesse Hissem for $100 land formerly occupied by Jacob Lewis situated on North side of Sheets run, a branch of Middle Island. 70 acres. The caveat is where is daughter Catharine (Lewis) Buckhannon? I'm guessing that because she wasn't yet married, she was left out.1,3 
Event-Misc*December 1846  In December 1846 at Tyler Co., West Virginia, Eli Ferrell had the following misc event: Order Book 1846 (SLC 175042 item 2) pg 54: On motion of ... that Abner Pipes, Thomas Pricket, John B Ferrell and David Anderson ... mark the most practicable route for a road from Middlebourne up Gorrell's Run by way of Abner Pipes to intersect the Waynesburg road at or near the schoolhouse below Eli Ferrell's.

His info on the census included Ferrell, Eli 47 b.VA farmer $800.

It was found by a jury that the value of the land owned by Eli Ferrell deceased is $25. Land is in school district #2 in Ellsworth on the waters of Elk Fork Creek. 3/16 acre. After Board of Ed. paid $30 they could use land for school purposes.1
