CAUTION* | | Samuel Underwood has the following CAUTIONARY INFORMATION: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/UNDERWOOD/1999-09/0937750908 there is controversy on who this Samuel is. Some believe that his is the son of Samuel 1767 and Elizabeth (Backhouse), and others believe his is the son of Christopher Underwood (b.Germany) and Mary Bashtell (b.Wales). I remember talking to people in Tyler county in the 1980s and hearing about Christopher/Mary being their ancestor. If that isn't true, then who were Christopher and Mary ancestors of? Why do people remember them if they had no descedants? If they had descendants, who were they other than Samuel? See all the notes throughout his record, in particular a will and his wife's tombstone record to prove that he is indeed the son of Samuel. |
