Birth*25 April 1759 John Swiger Sr was born on 25 April 1759 at Loudoun Co., Virginia. 
Military* He was in the military In his application for a pension, made 14 Dec 1833, while a resident of Coon's run, Harrison Co, John Swiger stated that he resided in Fayetter Co PA from the time he was 18 years old until the conclusion of the Revolutionary War. He was alowed a pension for service as an Inidan spy in PA during the war, but upon examination of his claim by the United States attorney, 21 Nov 1834, he stated that he served only short tours against Indians in Jackson's fort, Greene Co PA, after the Revolution, and his name was, therefore, dropped from the pension roll 13 Mar 1835.1 
Marriage*13 May 1794 He married Elizabeth Tetrick on 13 May 1794. 
Death*26 June 1844 John Swiger Sr died on 26 June 1844 at age 85.
