Obituary His obituary: Maynard Leon Ash 70, Center Point Star Rt, West Union, (Ashley Community) died 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21 [1985] at his residence following a brief illness. He was born at Ashley March 23, 1914, a son of the late Lattie Othello and Lydia Anne Dotson Ash. October 24, 1964 he married Eileen Mable Harbert who survives, also several nieces and nephews. Three sisters and two brotheres preceeded him in death. He was the last survivor of his immediate family. He was a retired employee of the W. Va. State Dept. of Highways, with the Sign Department. He was Protestant, an overseas Army Veteran of W.W. #2 and a member of Post #573 VFW at Clarksburg. Services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at Spurgeon Funeral Home in West Union with Re. Larry Kennedy officiating. Burial with Military Grave-side rites were held by Post #573 VFW of CLarksburg at the K of P Memorial Park at Salem.1
