"Becky" Underwood, 70, formerly of Pennsboro, West Virginia, peacefully departed her life on earth on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at her home. Rebecca was born Dec. 2, 1943, in Akron, the daughter of the late Harry L. and Betty Ash Underwood and came to the area as an adult. Becky was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Girard, and dedicated her life to loving God and caring for and raising her family. She is survived by her three loving children; her son, Rick (Charlene) Scadden of Austintown, formerly of Harrisville, West Virginia; two daughters, Melinda Rutkowski (Tom Mauerman) of Niles, also formerly of Harrisville, and Jasmine Elizabeth (Ed) Hill of Girard; six grandchildren, Meagan Fraser, Chelsea (Mark) Ricer, Samantha and Amy Scadden, Trevor Rutkowski, and Hayden McCoy; five great-grandchildren, Emily and Aubrey Fraser, Carter Hayhurst, Mason and Ethan Ricer; three sisters, Betsy (Connard) Ash of Whipple, Debbie (Ed) Ferrell of Grantsville, West Virginia, and Diane (Bill) Linger of Weston, West Virginia; several special nieces and nephews; and her three precious kitties, Maggie, Boots, and Muffy. Becky will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. on SUNDAY, June 8, at Kinnick Funeral Home, McClurkin Memorial Chapel, 222 S. State St., Girard, where funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. |
