Background* Josephus Thompson has the following backgound information available Used to have Joseph and Josephus as separate people and there just wasn't any proof that they were the same person. But now, with DNA, there is a person descended from his daughter Zena, who matches my line through Joseph's brother John. So finally, we have the proof needed.

Census18701870 Josephus Thompson appeared on the 1870 census as the head of household, an unknown place . His info on the census included not found - however, there is a 60 year old Joseph Thompson on the same page as future wife Harriet. That 60 year old is a farm laborer b.GA living with Collings family. Also with the family is 30 year old Thomas Gey b.KY, a carpenter. Are these boarders mixed up, with Joseph being the 30 year old? There is also a 19 yr old Joseph Thompson, farm laborer, in Nineveh, Johnson, IN which is south of Indianapolis, where he might be on his way from GA to Tipton Co. These are speculations, so I'm just making notes.
