Birth*21 September 1817 Nancy Beaty was born on 21 September 1817 at On the Adkins River, Gilford Co., North Carolina, Conflicts: Reunion pages gives her just b. 3 Apr 1808 on the Adkins River in Gilford Co NC with name just as Nancy, no last name.
     Papers in son George's Bible says "Nancy Erwin was born Sept 21, 1817. John Erwin and Nancy Beaty were married July 23, 1835", and it also says Nancy Erwin Consert [sic - for consort or wife] was born September 1818. She's John Erwin's first wife." Geneva Stech had (without cited source) 3 Apr 1808 Guilford Co NC and name of Nancy Meyer.
     The handwritting on the pages in the Bible, though old, is not old enough to have been written contemporaneously. This all needs to have more research done on it. It could be that Geneva mixed two wives, and that the first wife is Nancy Meyer b.1808 and the 2nd wife was Nancy Beaty b.1818 b.NC - I'm inclined to believe the Bible date because it makes more sense for matching husband's birth year, and children's births.
However, 1870 census gives age as 65, making her born 1805.
