Obituary | 24 August 2014 | Her obituary: on 24 August 2014 at The Olympian, Thurston Co., Washington, Edith K. Threadgill 11/3/1912 - 8/15/2014 Edith K. Threadgill was almost 102 years young when she passed away August 15, 2014, at her home at Olympics West in Tumwater, WA. Her mind was still very sharp until the day of her death. She was born November 3, 1912 in Tacoma, WA to her parents Tom and Enga Ornes. She is predeceased by her parents; husbands, Lester A. Rhinehart and Frank W. Threadgill; son, Lester Rhinehart, Jr; granddaughter, Jeanne Huntley Maxin; and two sisters, Ruth Fredrickson of Olympia and Marie Tresner of Gig Harbor. Edith enjoyed her retirement years from civil service, working at Fort Lewis, by traveling most of the world. She especially enjoyed quilting with her friends at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of which she'd been a member since she was 16 years old. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Cheryl Meyer; granddaughter, Susan Huntley Eddings; grandson, Keith W. Huntley; and six great-grandchildren, all who feel so fortunate to have had her in their lives for such a long time. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1515 Harrison Ave. NW, Olympia.
