Birth*10 December 1829 Sarah Underwood was born on 10 December 1829 at Doddridge Co., West Virginia, Bible pages specifically say "Sarah Underwood the daughter of Kisiah Baker Underwood was born Dec the 10th the year 1829 born in Tyler Co WVa." not Oct 1827 as in 1900 census.1 
(Witness) Census18301830 She is assumed to be one of the household of Dixon Underwood (1803-1887) in the 1830 census, pg 184, no twnshp listed, Tyler Co., West Virginia, who has 1m0-5 (John) 1m5-10(Joseph) 1m20-30 (Dixon) 1f0-5 (Sarah) 1f5-10 (Nancy) 1f20-30. 
Marriage*5 March 1848 Sarah Underwood married George Washington Kile, son of Stephen Kile and Elizabeth (_Underwood?_), on 5 March 1848 Pages from Bible specifically say "Sarah Underwood and G.W.Kile was married March the 5. the 1848 to them was born 13 children". GW & Sarah marr is not in either Doddridge or Tyler marr records, but they are very sketchy during that time period. Wetzel records don't start til 1854.1

Census1900*1900 Sarah Underwood appeared on the 1900 census as the head of household, ED 24 sht 6b #113-114, McClellan, Doddridge Co., West Virginia. Her info on the census included Kile, Sarah 72 b.WV Oct 1827 widow 9 children 6 living, rents home. 
(InHomeOf) Census191022 April 1910 She appeared on the 1910 census in the household of Lavina Kile, ED 31 sheet 9a with Arthur Swiger family, McClellan, Doddridge Co., West Virginia. Her info on the census included - Kile, Sarah 82 widow b.WV (living with daughter, and a few houses from Andrew Kile & his sons Luther age 22 & Ira age 16.) 
Death*11 June 1911 Sarah Underwood died on 11 June 1911 at Doddridge Co., West Virginia, at age 81 Doddridge Co deaths (SLC 838195 & 838196) do not show Sarah in the index. WPA cemetery reading shows year of death as 1913, unless it was a typo in the notebook at library in West Union.1 
Burial* She was buried at Underwood Cemetery, near Ashley, Doddridge Co., West Virginia, At the library in West Union is a notebook of cemetery listings (actually 2 notebooks). At the end of the main list, is a list of names from the 1940 WPA list that "were not found or no longer readable" including "Kile, Sarah Dec 10, 1829-June 11, 1913 wife of G.W".
