Birth*25 January 1748 He was born on 25 January 1748 at Staton Island, Richmond Co., New York. 
Marriage*circa 1765 He married Elizabeth 'Betsy' Straight, daughter of (__________) Straight and (__________) (__________), circa 1765. 
Event-Misc*  I was told by one of daughter Elizabeth's descendants that the Dragoo cabin moved from Pricketts Fort to Tyler Co near Middlebourne, and has been added to through the years. 
Residence1815  In 1815 John Dragoo (Dragaud) resided At least three generations of Dragoo families lived in a cabin that has now been moved and preserved cabin. Jacob, the first child of William “Indian Billy” Dragoo and Rebecca Matheny was born there. They were living in the cabin with Billy’s Father, John Dragoo. There is a picture of the cabin, with more detail in a book by Vi Parsons on the Dragoo Family Association website http://www.dragoofamilyassociation.com/parsonsbook.htm It was on Finches Run in Monongalia Co, (West) Virginia. The area was called ‘The Great Shade’, because there were so many trees. The area is now in Marion County, near Barrackville, West Virginia. It was ultimately moved to Tyler Co WV. 
Death*1823 He died in 1823.
