Military*1758 He was in the military in 1758 Per Stanley Barnes 13 Socha Lane Scotia NY 12303 (1990): James Tinder served in the French and Indian War in the Forbes Expedition against Fort DuQuesne after enlisting in Luoisa Co. and afterwards receiving a warrent for 40 acres of land for his service. 
Marriage*1760 He married Sarah (__________) in 1760 at Virginia Try Spotsylvania County VA for marriage as son James Jr born there. (Why did they name two of their sons James?) 
Deed1768  In 1768 at Burr Hill, Orange Co., Virginia: Bought land (per Stanley Barnes - haven't researched myself yet.) 
Deed*1792  In 1792 at Burr Hill, Orange Co., Virginia: Sold land and moved to Kentucky (per Stanley Barnes - haven't researched myself yet.) 
Death*after 1810 James Tinder Sr died after 1810 at Woodford Co., Kentucky.
