SamePerson?* Are Isaac? Illegitimate son Underwood (maybe the Tanner) and Isaac Underwood (ca 1776 - 1862) the same person? And Isaac? Illegitimate son Underwood (maybe the Tanner)? CAUTION: It is not proven that Isaac (ca 1776 - 1862) is the son of Isaac (1760 DE - ca 1795 KY). There is an age discrepancy so that one wonders if the man born in 1760 would have a child at 15 or 16. However, Isaac (ca 1760) DID have an illegitimate son by 13 Nov 1777. We don't know when Isaac (ca 1776 was born, but since he had a child in 1796, it is likely he was born 1776 or so and probably was this child.

Illegitimate son Underwood (maybe the Tanner) had the following misc event: Isaac had an illegitimate child."Whereas Isaac Undrewood, having a birthright of membership amongst us ye People called Quakers is charg'd with being the Father of a Bastard Child & being treated with, doth not appear able to clear himself of said charge, not condemn his misconduct to Friends Satisfaction; We there for account his no member of our religious society, until he shall, in Sincerity & Truth, do that which may justly be required of him, in that case; which we desire he may. Given forth by our monthly meeting, held at Kennett ye 13th day of ye 11th mo 1777 & signed by order of ye same by James Jackson Clk."1,2 
Event-Misc*22 March 1796  On 22 March 1796 at Mason Co., Kentucky, Isaac? Illegitimate son Underwood (maybe the Tanner) had the following misc event: a George Wood of Mason county is to take on the apprenticeship of Isaac Underwood for 8 years. Wood is to teach Isaac the art and trade of a Tanner. Assuming an age of 21 for the end of apprenticeship, it is assumed that he was born circa 1783.3
