| Obituary | 8 February 1995 | Her obituary: on 8 February 1995 at Piatt Co Journal-Republican Glenna James Mosgrove, 94, of Savoy, died January 31, 1995 at Carle Arbours. Funeral services were held February 5 at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello with burial in Mansfield cemetery. Mrs. Mosgrove was born November 16, 1900 at Mansfield, d/o Charles and Louisa Rinehart James. She married Charles Mosgrove on June 2, 1943 at Mansfield. He died in August 1968. She is survived by her son, Charles of Huntsville AL; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two step-grandchildren, both of whom she raised: Charles of Sandy OR; and Virginia Stone of Monticello. She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter and a brother. Mrs. Mosgrove was a retired school teacher in Mansfield; member of the Piatt County Pioneer Heritage Center, Monticello; and member of Bethel Christian Church, Farmer City. She was the author or co-author of four family genealogy books, the Bethel Church history and numerous papers on antiques. Memorials may be made to the church or Carle Arbours.2 |
