Marriage*18 February 1885 Mary E Wallis married Leander "Lee" Washington Searcy, son of Alfred Harrison Searcy and Temperence Caroline Price, on 18 February 1885 at Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, Oral Testimonies from my interviews of Lee’s living relatives and their letter’s in the 1940’s and etc. has that his parents let him travel the gold route from Arkansas up to Oregon, where he was going to open a Mercantile Store. In Oregon He met a girl, Mary E Wallis, fell in love and married her in Portland, Multnomah Co. Oregon.1

Death*19 October 1889 Mary E Wallis died on 19 October 1889 at Dayton, Columbia Co., Washington, at age 24 date per inlaws 1852 Bible. "Oral Testimonies from my interviews of Lee’s living relatives and their letter’s in the 1940’s."1,2 
Burial* She was buried at Eugene Pioneer Cemetery, Eugene, Lane Co., Oregon, From interviews of Lee’s living relatives – I was told that when the (Searcy) parents heard of Lee’s dying, they sent the brothers – “Wes” and “Will” to the north west to bury the family together.2,1
