Death*19 January 1899 Sarah Ann Ash died on 19 January 1899 at Tyler Co., West Virginia, at age 50 per her Bible.1 
Obituary Her obituary: Her obituary, which is in the Bible, states "Mrs. Sarah Ann Ash was born________. She died at her home near Middlebourne, Tyler County, WV January 1899. She was married to Jacob Baker, to them were born eight children and one daughter. Of whom all, with the husband and father survive her.
     Mrs. Baker had been sorely afflicted for some time, but endured her affliction patiently. Her death was a swift, sad blow to her family, who were overwhelmed with grief by the loss of a loving wife and a fond mother.
     She was converted in ____ at place meeing giving her heart to God and her name to the Church. She was an exemplary Christian in all things. In her dail walk of life. She illustrated divine teaching of God.
     She was buried on Friday January 20th at Point Pleasant near; Middlebourne, surrounded by her sorrowing family and a large concourse of friends and neighbors. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. _______. May wnot hope that her body lies in death-yet-her soul may hear the voices of her friends as they ascend to heaven in praise and thanksgiving from the Church where she loved to worship her God and looking down from the home of her soul, awaits her joyous coming.
     Her sorrowing family and relatives have the sympathy of all, for either they have lost a loving wife, a fond mother, a kind sister and obedient daughter.
     The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. The seed time and the harvest follows each in quick succession. God hath need of the refined grain as well as the rare sweet flowers. He gives them for awhile to gladden the hearths of earth and in his own time he gathers them to himself again. The peaceful _____of the Christian's life is but the glories dawn of immortality.1 
Burial* She was buried at Henderson Cemetery, Sancho, Tyler Co., West Virginia, (off Little Sancho Rd out of Bridgeway heading toward Little Sancho). Obit says Point Pleasant near Middlebourne but Kay has been to the Henderson Cemetery where they are buried.1
