Deed16 April 1823  On 16 April 1823 at deed bk 11 pg 379, Ohio Co., West Virginia: [they had a prenup] This indenture made __parte this 16th day of April 1823 between Catherine Young, widow, of the County of Ohio, State of Virginia of the first part, Benjamin Harvey Sr of the same county and state of the second part, and William Wilson of the same county and commonwealth of the third part. Witnesseth that a marriage is shortly to be had and solomnized between the said Benjamin & Catherine, and whereas the said Catherine is seized and possessed of the following described real estate situated in the county of Ohio and state of Virginia on the waters of Buffaloe and bounded as follows towit: beginning at a sugar tree corner to Nicholas Rogers and with his line south 20 degrees east 60 3/4 poles to a white oak corner of Henry Young decd, and with his line north 83 1/2 west 89 poles to a post on Rodgers line and with the same south 67 1/2 east 70 poles to the beginning containing by estimation 30 acres. It is the same tract of land that Catherine now lives and whereas the said Catherine is also possessed of the following articles of personal property towit one mare one cow three heifers 12 sheep, one bureau, one kitchen table, two bedsteads and bedding, six winsor chairs, one iron kettle and one Do. [ditto for iron] pots tea kettle; and whereas the said Benjamin and Catherine is desireous and willing that the said Catherine should ever retain the disposal and use of the said property both real and personal notwithstanding the said intended marriage, now therefore this indunture witnesseth that the said Catherine Young by and with the consent of the said Benjamin Harvey in consideration of the promises and in further consideration of the sum of one dollar to her in hand paid by the said William Wilson his heirs and assigns forever all the before described tract of land situated and bounded as aforesaid & supposed to contain thirty acres as [abound?] together with cash and every article of personal property mentioned or described as aforesaid to have and to hold to the said William Wilson his heirs and assigns forever all the aforesaid real and personal property in trust nonetheless for the use of the said Catherine until the said marriage can be had and solomnized and in further trust that from and after the solomnizing of the said marriage the said William shall truly suffer and permit the said Catherine to rent sell or barter all or any part of estate hereby conveyed and apply the profits of the same or the fund of the sale to her own separate use during the continuance of the said marriage and further to do every [art?] respecting the said estate which an unmarried woman could might lawfully do, and also in further trust that if the said Catherine should die previous to the said Benjamin [need to finish this]. 
Marriage*17 April 1823 He married Catherine Coffinberry, daughter of George Ludwig (Lewis) Coffinberry (Immigrant 1752) and Maria Veronica Kimmel, on 17 April 1823 at marr bk 1 pg 244, Ohio Co., West Virginia, CAUTION - Since Catherine Young still shows in the census in 1830 & 1840, this may be a different Catherine in spite of her land adjoining Henry's. She could be a younger one, like a daugherinlaw.
     This is to certify that on the 17th April 1823 the Rite of Marriage was celebrated between Benjamin Harvey Senr. and Catharine Young pusuant to a licese issued from the Clerks Office of Ohio County bearing date 7th April 1823. Given under My hand this 29th. Septr. 1824.

Census1830*1830 Benjamin Harvey Sr was the head of the household in the 1830 census, pg 222, Ohio Co., West Virginia, with Hervey (sic), Benjamin Sr 1m70-80 (Benjamin) 1f0-5 2f20-30 1f60-70 (Catherine).
