Resources: http://resources.rootsweb.com/USA/NJ/Middlesex/ I am looking for a book/document that was used as a source for an IGI entry. It is called Churches in American Archives - Commission on History, New Brunswick NJ. Salt Lake doesn't have it, and Library of Congress doesn't seem to have it either. Can you give me a lead on where I might find it? He responded: I haven't heard of it either. You could try Rutgers, NJ Historical Society, or the Reformed Church Archives in NB. The addresses are on the Middlesex Web Site. |
Marriage* | 25 August 1744 | He married Sarah Ann Lake, daughter of John Lake (III) and Martinah (__________), on 25 August 1744 at Probably?, Middlesex Co., New Jersey, Howard Groendyke said "Recorded in records of church of 3 mile Run and 6 Mile Run as having lived in that vicinity during period 1720-1748. In Hunterdon & Somerset Co by James P Snell (1881) it is stated that he lived 6 Mile Run in 1753". Maybe the church records have the marriage? His father's will says he got £45 at the time of his marriage. |

To eliminate loss of readability, the pages are PNG files, hence large (ranging from about 1/3 megabyte to almost a full megabyte). You need to have a current enough browser to open PNG files).
