He said that Violette Story (dau of John Story and Mary ___) is first wife, and Catherine Kiple (Kyple), dau of John Kiple Sr of Amwell Twn, Hunt Co NJ, is the 2nd wife.
"In inv. of John Story 1802 is mentioned dtr Lidyas son Richard and dtr Sara and wife Mary. Since Nicholas had dtr Sara and son Richard it is to be presumed that John Story's wife was Lidyas. Also could John Story Gorendyke have derived his name from this source. Will of John Story Gorendyke 1806 mentions dtr Violettes Groendyke two children (NJ Archives Vol 22 pg 361 mort. Hunt. Co. Vol 1 p 497.) |
