| Note* | | (__________) Englebert After reviewing several different census indexes, the name "Englebirth" was nearly non-existent. There were several "Engleheart/Englehardt" spellings, sometimes begun with an "I". And there wer also several spellings of "Englebright", also sometimes started with an "I". There were also variations in both of Engle or Engle in the spelling, and once or twice we saw persons of one or another of these names listed as Englebirth. Thus, we feel that "Englebirth" was probably wrong, and one of the other spellings was correct."1 |
