Note*1838 Note(s): in 1838 Robert "moved with his father, in the year of 1835 to the Little Kanawha River, Calhoun Co."
Obviously this year is in error since he wasn't yet born. It was most likely 1838 right after he was born.
Another FGS on 13 Apr 1939 by Mrs Helen A Yoke (unknown relation) says that he "came from Uniontown PA, moved to Calhoun Co about 1846. In the listing for children it says "part born in Uniontown PA and part in Calhoun Co. [WV]"3 
(Witness) Census18401840 He is assumed to be one of the household of Thomas Griggs Ferrell in the 1840 census, East Monongalia, Monongalia Co., West Virginia, who has 1m0-5 (Robert) 1m5-10 (Franklin) 1m20-30 (Thomas G) 1m60-70 (Robert the father) 1f0-5 (Eliza) 1f5-10 (?) 1f20-30 (Sarah). 
(InHomeOf) Census18501850 Robert R Ferrell appeared on the 1850 census in the household of Thomas Griggs Ferrell, pg 30 #418-419 , District 17, Gilmer Co. (now Calhoun Co.), West Virginia. His info on the census included - Ferrel, Robert 12 b.VA. 
Marriage*10 April 1863 Robert R Ferrell married Delia M Fast on 10 April 1863 There may have been another daughter Kate who died single.
Note that some of his dates don't jibe with those of his brother's FGS, and don't make sense either.1 
Marriage*1886 Robert R Ferrell married Catherine (__________) in 1886. 
Death*3 November 1911 Robert R Ferrell died on 3 November 1911 at Calhoun Co., West Virginia, at age 73 His will is available in Book 2 pg 48. Will dated 23 Feb 1911, proved 11 Nov 1912. He had a large estate. He refers to wife Catherine, so evidently married again after Delia died. Probate also states that he died on Nov 3 (SLC 808269.)1 
Census1900*1990 He appeared on the 1900 census as the head of household, ED 21 sht 6 #99-99, Center District, Calhoun Co., West Virginia, along with Catherine (__________) and Cleo Ferrell. His info on the census included Ferrell, Robert 61 b.WV Apr 1839, farmer, married at age 48.
