Birth*1810 Thomas Griggs Ferrell was born in 1810 at White Day, Monongalia Co., West Viirginia. 
Marriage* He married Sarah Bunner. 
Note*1838 Thomas Griggs Ferrell and Robert R Ferrell Robert "moved with his father, in the year of 1835 to the Little Kanawha River, Calhoun Co."
Obviously this year is in error since he wasn't yet born. It was most likely 1838 right after he was born.
Another FGS on 13 Apr 1939 by Mrs Helen A Yoke (unknown relation) says that he "came from Uniontown PA, moved to Calhoun Co about 1846. In the listing for children it says "part born in Uniontown PA and part in Calhoun Co. [WV]" in 1838.1 
Census1840*1840 Thomas Griggs Ferrell was the head of the household in the 1840 census, East Monongalia, Monongalia Co., West Virginia with 1m0-5 (Robert) 1m5-10 (Franklin) 1m20-30 (Thomas G) 1m60-70 (Robert the father) 1f0-5 (Eliza) 1f5-10 (?) 1f20-30 (Sarah). 
Census1850*1850 He appeared on the 1850 census as the head of household, pg 30 #418-419, District 17, Gilmer Co. (now Calhoun Co.), West Virginia along with Sarah Bunner, Franklin Ferrell, Eliza Ann Ferrell, Robert R Ferrell, Amanda Ferrell, Sarah C Ferrell, Robert Ferrell Jr and Rachel Griggs . His info on the census included Ferrel, Thos. G 40 b.VA farmer $736 - his (assumed) parents are living with him. 
Death*1864 Thomas Griggs Ferrell died in 1864.2 
Probate*13 January 1869 His estate was probated on 13 January 1869 at Bk 1 pg 12, Calhoun Co., West Virginia; Wheras Sarah Ferril widow and relic of Thomas G Ferril having departed this life and Philip Norman having been appointed administrator upon the personal estate of the said Sarah Ferril on the 14th day of December 1868 and the said Philip Norman having this day been removed as such administrator by revoking his appointment.
Upon the petition in writing of a large majority of the heirs at law of the said Sarah ferril decd, Thornton F Ferril is appointed administrator of the personal estate of Sarah Ferril deced who was the widow and relict of Thomas G Ferrel decd and the said Thornton F Ferril having executed his bond in the [p___] sum of eight hundred dollars with George W Taylor as his security conditioned as the law directs which said bond has been acknowledged and appoint according to law and the said Thornton F Ferril having taken the oath of officer required by law, he is hereby authorized to take charge of and administer the estate (personal) of the said Sarah Ferril decd and report his proceedings to this office as the law requires. Savid Stallman, Arnold Snider & George W Taylor are appointed appraisers of said estate.

In the same book, in the index, there is appraiser's bills for Thomas G pg 347 and Franklin B pg 345, but the pages don't go that high. Maybe a different book for the appraiser's bills?
