Immigration*1650 Thomas Underwood (Immigrant 1650) immigrated in 1650 Thomas Underwood came to America in 1650 without his wife, Elizabeth Meeres. He paid for his own passage and she was "transported" later, at his expense.1

Deed*9 February 1662  On 9 February 1662 at Middle Neck, Anne Arundel Co., Maryland: received a grant of 50 acres surveryed February 9, 1662. 
Deed6 August 1664  On 6 August 1664 at Middle Neck, Anne Arundel Co., Maryland: received a grant from Lord Baltimore for (700 acres?), which he called "Middle Neck." On 8th August he received another grant from Lord Baltimore for 100 acres in Anne Arundel, which he called "The Landing." The assumption is that he was being rewarded for bringing in new people.1
