Elizabeth Dop

F, #13968, d. 8 June 1819
ChartsAsh (maternal side) - William Esch (farthest back ancestor coming forward 5 generations)
Marriage*circa 1760 Elizabeth Dop married Johann Wilhelm Esch (Immigrant ca 1753), son of Johan Heinrick Mathias Esch and Anna Maria Graw, circa 1760 at Dutchess Co., New York, The Dop family was a Beekman Patent family, as was William Ash.
Will*8 May 1813 Elizabeth Dop left a will on 8 May 1813; Her will (in file 009-6 at the Saratoga County Courthouse) names none of the older children. For a while this prompted me [Barry Wood] to assume, erroneously, that she was William's second wife and not the mother of the older children. Evidently Elizabeth simply wanted her estate devoted to her two spinster daughters. She probably thought that her grown and married sons and daughter could take care of themselves; Peter and Henry were over 50 when their mother wrote her will on 8 May 1813. As it turned out, Eve did not survive her mother. She passed away in the winter of 1817-1818 (admon. 23 Jan 1818).

Death*8 June 1819 She died on 8 June 1819 at Orange, Saratoga Co., New York, As stated in Saratoga County Heritage, at page 391, Orange was the official name of Halfmoon from 1816 to 1820.
