Birth*10 May 1832 Olive Jane Bassett was born on 10 May 1832 date backed into from age at death. 
(Witness) Census18401840 She is assumed to be one of the household of Samuel C Bassett in the 1840 census, Athens, Athens Co., Ohio, who has Bassette, S C 2m0-5 2m10-15 1m30-40 (Samuel) 1f0-5 (Lucinda) 1f5-10 (Olive) 1f10-15 (Lydia/Eliza) 1f30-40 (Esther) - one of the male children would be Oliver but who are the other three? Son Samuel wasn't born until after the census date of June 1st, so he can't be one unless the census was very late and they included him even though they weren't supposed to.

Marriage*2 November 1851 Olive Jane Bassett married Daniel Wood on 2 November 1851 at Athens Co., Ohio, Marr record book 3 page 308
Daniel Wood and Olive Jane Bassett married in Alexander on the 2d inst, by Rev H. J. Carr. Mr. Daniel Wood of Columbia, Meigs Co; Olive Jane from Alexander (The Athens Messenger 7 Nov 1851)
Marriage certificate also provide by Janet Beck:
"This certifies that Daniel Wood and Olive Jane Bassette were united by me in the Holy Bonds of Matrimony at Meigs Co Ohio on the 2nd day of November 1851" However, the certificate is not signed, and Meigs county does not agree with the marrige record in Athens county, so it was probably a commemorative after the fact. It would be interesting to see if the marriage is also recorded in Meigs county.

Burial* She was buried at Pendleton Cemetery, Doe Run, St Francois Co., Missouri, same tombstone as husband Daniel Wood and sister Lucinda

Old Pendleton Cemetery, earliest marked grave is 1802. this area of Doe Run settled by people from Old Pendleton District of S.C. Old Pendleton Baptist Church on Hildebrecht Rd was formally organized in 1825. Cemetery is likely burial ground for 1700's early settlers.
