Know Yea
That I Hope Cove of the town of Westerle in the Colony of Rhode Island being weake in body yet throught the mercy of God having the free use of my judgement and memory and not knowing how soone I may leave this world judge it my Duty to Sett my house in order before my decease and doe ordaine and declare these presents to be my last will and testament.
Item, I give and resign my spirrit unto God what gave it and my body to be burried according to the descretion of my executors hereafter named firmly beleaving that it shall be raised again at the Resurrection of the dead by the Mighty powere of God and united again.
Item, I ordaine, constribute and apointe my son James Cove all my lands with the housing excepting what shall be hereaftermentioned.
Item, I give my moveable estate whatsoever unto my loving wife Mary Cove for her use and benefit until my son come of age.
Item, My Will is that when my son James doth come of age then the moveable estate shall be equally devided between my wife Mary Cove and my son James Cove and until then that he continue with his mother in inproving and managing the land and stock for their benefit and comfort if she live and my will is that his mother shall have the use and benefit of the best room in my dwelling house
during her widdowhood.
Item, I give to my daughter Mary Cove eight shillings in money or equivalent to be paid unto her by my son James when he comes of age.
Item, I give to my daughter Rachel Cove twenty shillings in money or equivalent thereto to be paid unto her by my son James when he comes of age.
Item, My will is that what is left of that estate of my wifes parte at her desease shall be equally devided between James and Rachel excepting a bed and an iron pot which she may give to which of them she will.
And I leave this as my last will thereby revoking all former will by me made in confirmation whereto I have sett to my hand and seale this eight day of November in the year 1704.
