Birth*1733 Hugh Gordon was born in 1733 unsourced parentage: James Gordon & Euphin Manson - if true, then here is his baptismal. However, we don't yet have proof our Hugh is this Hugh.

Marriage*circa 1766 He married Sarah Owens, daughter of Nathaniel Owens and (__________) (__________) possibly Ann Marder, circa 1766 date is guess. Note I have stuff from SLC that proves Owen connection. 
Deed10 November 1778 Hugh Gordon bought land on 10 November 1778 at Fauquier Co., Virginia: fill this in from SLC items copied. 
Military*4 April 1782 He was in the military on 4 April 1782 at King George Co., Virginia, more source info to enter from SLC - gave Patriotic Service by furnishing provision for the Army during the Revolution, and received a Public Claim Certificate "At a Court continued and held for King George County on the 4th day of April 1782." The court proceeded to receive certificates for beef, etc., taken for Public Use. Hugh Gordon received pay for three-hundred-fifty pounds of beef.1

(Witness) MovedToFebruary 1797 He moved to Washington Co., Kentucky, in February 1797 Though Hugh's son Joel's bio it says he and his parents arrived in Feb 1797, Hugh is still mentioned as "of" Fauquier Co. VA when he purchased land 25 Nov 1797 in Washington Co. KY. In either case, it was 1797 with Anderson Jeffries.2,3,4 
Deed*25 November 1797 Hugh Gordon bought land on 25 November 1797 at Washington Co., Kentucky: Hugh is of Fauquier Co. VA when he purchases land from Simon Triplett (& wife Martha) for 583 acres of land in Washington Co. KY on Beech Fork & Pleasant Run for 240 pounds.3
