Antrim History just says "was born in Methuen Mass., in 1761."1
Military*29 November 1776 He was in the military on 29 November 1776 Private in Capt John Peabody's company, Colonel Ebenezer Francis 'Regiment per MA Soldiers and Sailors of the Rev War v.2. According to his pension, he entered the army 1 Mar 1777 (note date difference, and that regardless he was just a young teenager). He was described as 5' 4", light complextion and light hair.
Marriage*8 February 1786 He married Rachel French on 8 February 1786 at Haverhill, Essex Co., Massachusetts, "Bodwell, William, of Methuen, and Rachal French, Feb 8, 1786 - intention also recorded".

Residence*1789  In 1789 William Bodwell resided at Antrim, Hillsborough Co., New Hampshire. "settled the Reuben Robinson place west of the pond (Dutton's) in 1789."1
MovedTo*1800 He in 1800 "went to Ohio in 1800, and died there in 1834." - date he died is wrong.1
Census1800*1800 He was the head of the household in the 1800 census, an unknown place with ? - probably already moved to OH by the time of the census.

Pension*  He had a pension. I copied the entire pension record (myfiles\genealog\bodwellpension). I need to type this up and source the children's births etc.
Death*before 6 May 1823 He died before 6 May 1823 at Alexander Twnshp, Athens Co., Ohio.
Probate*6 May 1823 His estate was probated on 6 May 1823 at Athens Co., Ohio; Athens Co OH gen index to estates bk 1 says will 1B-30 box 161. Box 161 is actually the inventory not will. Says there's a widow but no names & no mention of children. Only date is 6 May 1823 for the inventory.
