Birth*8 May 1806 He was born on 8 May 1806 at Rutland Co., Vermont, Have lots of circumstantial evidence to prove that Samuel Chipman Bassett is Samuel C's father. See father's record for that evidence narration.
Census1820*1820 He was the head of the household in the 1820 census, Alexander Twnshp, Athens Co., Ohio, with at some point, I had "1m10-15 1m20-30 1f0-5 1f20-30 - the ages don't match with Samuel's age of 14, so who is this couple he's with? There can't be another Samuel Bassett" However, I've subsequently tried to find the census again and have been unable to find it..
(Witness) Census18201820 He is assumed to be one of the household of Aaron Daniels in the 1820 census, pg 108a, Mentor, Geauga Co.
