He was probably named for the Lorenzo Dow who was a popular evangelist in the colonies & Enland & Ireland in the period 1794-1834.1

Burial* He was buried at Ninevah Plains Cemetery, Broome Co., New York, There are two Ninevah cemeteries. One is Ninevah Cemetery in the town itself, and the other is Ninevah Plains Cemetery (right one), outside town next to a dairy farm.3
