UNDERWOOD of Maysville, Mason Co., KY and of Tyler Co., WV (son of Isaac, above), b. 1 May 1780, possibly in New Castle Co., DE(?); 1st(?) m. 17 Nov 1802 to Lucy POINDEXTER; 2nd(?) m. 23 May 1805 in DE to Mary Hannah WILLIS (b. 19 Oct 1780 in DE; she d. 29 Nov 1869 in Tyler Co., WV); he d. 27 Apr 1866 in Tyler Co., WV; both he and his wife are bur. in the family cemetery on the farm back of the house which stands on McElroy Creek near Shirley, WV; he served in the War of 1812; had the following children: Martha, Elizabeth, Wells, Ellis, John, William H., Leah, James C.
